I guess now that it's summer and I'm not in school, I really will have more time to blog. :)
So these past two weeks, have had their ups and downs. I felt kind of lost with the whole not having a schedule or any set plans... I did quite a lot though. I went down to Evergreen to stay with my Nana from Tuesday-Friday to job hunt in Denver. I went to the mall and applied at basically every store! Haha. Job hunting is a lot of work. I didn't think that it was going to be that hard... Boy was I wrong! On Thursday I did have a nice break from my search though. :) I got to see Jared and JJ. We went snowboarding! It was a great day on the mountain. There was tons of powder! I also made a new record. I snowboarded all day without getting tired or grumpy. :) Usually I get upset because everyone is so much better than I am and Jared starts calling me Grumpy... Haha. Or, I just poop out after lunch and have to stop boarding. But, this time I was able to keep up pretty well, had a ton of fun, and wasn't tired until we left! It was amazing! Haha.
Last Saturday I got to hangout with my two besties from home! Melissa and Danielle. It was so good to see my long lost friends! It will definitely not be that last reunion either. Mel and I will both be in Denver this summer, so that should be a blast! :)
On Sunday I got to spend more time with my family. We went to me cousin Bryan's house to celebrate his son Ethan's 4th Birthday party. It was fun. And, it was nice to see them all! I think the hardest thing about living away from home is missing your family. And, missing all of the little events like birthday parties and concerts. It's always nice to come home and catch up.
I went shopping with my Mom on Tuesday. We both got our hair done and did some shopping for my sister Natalie's birthday party this weekend. We also bought some presents for my mom. Her birthday was on Wednesday. While we were out, I got a phone call from Ann Taylor to come in and interview for a job with them at the mall in Denver. So, I spent the rest of that night packing and geting ready to go back to Denver.
I went in Wednesday morning to interview and... I got the job at Ann Taylor! Yay! I finally have something to do this summer! haha. The position is only part-time. But I'm okay with that, because that just means more play time! :) And, I get 50% of retail! Amazing.
On Thursday night I went to Fort Collins. Jared and I went to go see new Pirates movie at midnight. It was a lot of fun and a good movie. I definitely liked this Pirates movie more than the 2nd and the 3rd. I was so tired that night when we got home! haha. Friday night, we went bowling with some friends and watched a movie at JJ's house. I fell asleep way before it ended... Oh well! haha
Saturday morning I drove home to go to Natalie's tiedye 10th birthday party! It was a total success. My mom is so creative. She tiedyed sheets to make a table cloth and made a tiedye cake too! So fun.
And now, I just sitting in the living room... Enjoying being at home. I "move" to Evergreen this week. I start work on Wednesday. I think I'm going to go to a single's ward down there too. So, hopefully I can make some friends and have somewhat of a social life there too! It'll be a new adventure. I'm nervous, excited, and ready to do something new. Wish me luck! haha
My pictures won't load right now... So, I promise to post them as soon as possible!
